The HSBC Cricket Club was established in 1870 under the guise of the London Joint Stock Bank Cricket Club. It formally became HSBC after the merger of Midland Bank and The Hong Kong and Shanghi Banking Corporation.
In Senior cricket, we are running 4 Saturday and 2 Sunday sides this season, all bar the Sunday 2's play league cricket. The Junior Section will consist of up to 11 Colt's teams competing in all age groups from Under 8 to Under 16.
The Senior Club also arranges a bi-annual tour to Barbados, the next is due in 2009, together with an annual trip to Eastbourne in August.
Whilst the club is "closed" (membership being drawn from HSBC Bank plc employees and their partners) There are a limited number of places for non employees, this list is reviewed annually.
We are previleged to enjoy one of the finest grounds in the county with magnificent facilities and we are indebted to the Bank for its continued support of all sport at New Beckenham.
